Enhancing Student Learning and Motivation (Unit 4 Assessment)
Motivation = (expectation) x (value) x (climate)
We must expect that all students can learn.
We must demonstrate the value of knowledge and skills to our students.
We must cultivate a climate of trust and relationship in which student needs are met (Jones, 2015).
Students need to see the value of learning beyond their role as students. Making real world connections and authentic applications is a key toward increasing motivation.
